🏪 Bazaar - Help Guide
The Bazaar page gives you a live view of public bazaars across Torn. Find the best deals, track market trends, and discover special items.
- Live bazaar listings – with item images and details.
- Bonus item detection – items with special bonuses and stats.
- $1 bazaar filter – find cheap items quickly.
- Favorite bazaars – save bazaars for quick access.
- Item category browsing – browse items by type.

The bazaar scanning system works in the background to keep data fresh:
- Scan queue – users are added to the scan queue when they log in (faction members are added automatically).
- Scanner keys – API keys from users who have opted in and given bazaar consent are used to scan other bazaars.
- Rate limiting – the system balances requests to stay within Torn's API limits.
- Smart scanning – open bazaars are scanned more often than closed ones.
Items with special bonuses are highlighted with quality colors on the card border:
- Red border = High quality (200+)
- Orange border = Medium quality (100+)
- Yellow border = Low quality (>0)
Each card shows:
- User signature with favorite star
- Item name and image
- Bonus display (e.g., "Damage: +20%")
- Weapon stats (damage, accuracy, armor, quality)
- Price and quantity
- Freshness badge (Just now, Recent, Stale, Very Stale)
The bonus display text is colored to make it stand out, helping you quickly spot different bonus types.
Two settings control your participation:

| Opt-in | Enables premium features (battle stats, property logs, etc.) – this is separate from bazaar scanning. |
| Bazaar Consent | Your API key can be used to scan other bazaars, helping keep the system fresh for everyone. |
How it works:
- Your bazaar is in the scan queue regardless of your settings.
- With bazaar consent enabled, your key contributes to scanning other bazaars.
- With bazaar consent disabled, your key is not used for scanning.
- More consenting users = more scanning power = fresher data for everyone.

Different features require different API key scopes:

Recommended: A key with the bazaar scope enabled (or a Full Access key) for the best experience.
Need to update your key? Go to Torn API Settings and check the required boxes.
Q: Why can't I see my own bazaar?
A: Your key needs the bazaar scope. Go to Profile → Settings to check your API key.
Q: How do I help scan other bazaars?
A: Enable Bazaar Consent in your Profile → Settings. This allows your key to be used in the scanner pool.
Q: Why do I see old data?
A: The page uses cache. Click Refresh or wait for the next scan.
Q: What happens when I close my bazaar?
A: Your data is cleaned up and the system slows down scanning for it.
Q: What are Bonus Items?
A: Items (weapons and armor) that have special bonus attributes like Shock, Wither, Penetration, etc. These appear in the "Bonus Items" tab when found in bazaars.
Q: Is my API key safe?
A: Yes. Keys are encrypted and only used for scanning when you give consent.
